Bank of Maharashtrais an Indian public sector bank headquartered in Pune. The bank had 29 million customers across the country with 2022 branches as of March 2022. It has the largest network of branches of any nationalized bank in the state of Maharashtra.
The bank was founded by V.G.Kale and D. K. Sathe in Pune. The bank was registered on 16 September 1935 with an authorized capital of US$1 million and became operational on 8 February 1936. It provided financial assistance to small business and gave birth to many industrial houses. The bank was nationalised in 1969.

Bank of Maharashtra salary
The apprentice are eligible for stipend of Rs.9000/- per month for the engagement period of one year. The apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances/ benefits.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria is the requirements that must be met for a person to be included in the selection process. These requirements help make sure that participants in Selection process are like each other in terms of specific factors such as age, Qualification etc.

Qualification
- Bachelor’s degre in any discipline from the recognized University / Institutes approved by Govt. of India or its regulatory bodies.
- The apprentice should be proficient in local language (Reading, Writing, Speaking & Understanding) of state /UT. The apprentice should produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet / certificate evidencing one of the language as local language.
Other Term and conditions
- The candidate should not have undergone apprenticeship in any other organisation of terminated their apprenticeship midway or pursuing apprenticeship training in bank or any other organisations,companies,firms etc as per Apprenticeship Act 1961 as amended from time to time
- Candidates who had training or job experience of one or more years after completion of educational qualification shall not be eligible for being engaged as apprentice.
- It shall neither be obligatory on the part of the Bank to offer any employment to any apprentice who has completed the period of his apprenticeship training nor shall it be obligatory on the part of the apprentice to accept an employment.
- The apprentice shall have no right to claim emloyment in bank after completion of the training.
- Bank does not have any obligation to offer regular employment to apprentice during or after completion of apprenticeship period.
